Guard bed materials

CRI offers sulphur guard absorbents to address applications where low levels of sulphur can present operational problems, such as poisoning downstream catalysts. CRI absorbents have demonstrated ability to trap all forms of sulphur, from light mercaptains to heavy thiophenic compounds.

CRI offers special guard bed materials to trap common poison in C2/C3 feeds, such as light sulphur, arsine, and mercury. The guard bed material is optimised to make efficient use of precious metals. They are ideal in that they can be installed directly into the hydrogenation reactor without requiring unit or operational changes.
